Parent Boost vs Parent and Grandparent Visitor Visa (PGVV)
The Parent and Grandparent Visitor Visa allows 6 months per visit, with a maximum of 18 months over 3 years.
The Parent Boost Visitor Visa allows up to 5 years per visa, with longer stays but stricter financial and insurance rules.
Why This Matters
The Parent Boost Visitor Visa is an excellent option for families who want their parents to spend extended time in New Zealand. Because the requirements are strict, it is important to prepare in advance with the right financial evidence, medical certificates and insurance.
